It’s Time For #TeesTakesControl

Tees Valley Combined Authority | Published on: 4th May 2017

With just hours to go until polling closes for the Tees Valley Mayor, artist Mackenzie Thorpe has called on people to get behind change.

The Middlesbrough-born and raised painter encouraged residents of Darlington, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland and Stockton-on-Tees to make their voices heard.

Mackenzie said: “To move forward as Tees Valley wants to, everybody has got to get behind change.

“This is a great area with great people and to have the ability to be part of the changes that lie ahead means we are all involved in not only our futures but for generations to come, vote and own it.”

Residents of the five Tees Valley local authority areas can make their choice in this historic vote, bringing new decision making powers to the area.

Voters should check the location of their nearest polling station by contacting the Electoral Services department of their local council.

Polling is open until 10pm. For more information visit teesvalleymayor.co.uk
