About New Futures

New Futures, led by Learning and Work Institute(L&W) and funded by the Covid-19 Support Fund, is a programme aimed at supporting workers who need to reskill as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. Five place-based pilots are building locally led solutions to tackle retraining challenges, tailored to reflect the needs of local labour markets and the skills of local populations. Alongside the pilots, L&W is evaluating the interventions to help build the evidence base on supporting reskilling for career change to inform future policy and practice. The pilots will run until September 2023.
