Darlington South Park

A treat is in prospect for Darlington residents to savour. The town’s free annual show will return with a bang on 5 November with food and fun for all the family at the free event.

The ticketed extravaganza at South Park will be for Darlington borough residents only with tickets and a wristband needed for entry (now sold out). But the hotly anticipated display will mark the first time in more than a decade that the Bonfire Night event will take place in the town.

Fantasy Fireworks – a silent firework show ideal for children or those needing a more relaxed experience – will be followed by a James Bond themed “License to Thrill” show.

This show is now fully booked and no more wristbands are available.

Middlesbrough town centre

Diwali celebrations will bring plenty of colour and joy to Middlesbrough town centre later this month. The free family-friendly festival will include live entertainment, funfair rides, a shopping bazaar, workshops, a carnival parade and a Bollywood-themed roof top firework finale.

Diwali, also known as The Festival of Light, is a global celebration representing the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance and good over evil. It is mainly celebrated by Hindu, Sikh, Jain and Buddhist faiths around the world, however this festival has been produced and promoted to be inclusive of all backgrounds, races, religions and beliefs.

The celebrations will take place from 12pm until 6pm on 29 October in Centre Square.

Seaton Carew

The Clock Tower is the place to be for fireworks in Seaton on 4 November – with music and dance before a dazzling display caps off the evening at 4.30pm.

New Marske Sports Club

Plenty of sports clubs across the region are hosting G2 Fireworks pyrotechnics this autumn – and New Marske’s 3 November edition will see fair ground rides, food and live singers. Tickets can be bought for the event from the club off Gurney Street in advance at £5 for adults and £3 for children.

JB Autos Carsales on Limerick Road are also offering up tickets. Fireworks will begin firing at around 7.30pm on the night.

But be quick! Organisers say they’ll have to turn away those paying on the gate if they reach capacity.

Redcar Rugby Club

Tickets are flying for Redcar Rugby Union Club’s spectacular planned for Bonfire Night itself. Gates open at 5.30pm for a 7.30pm start – with a £15 family ticket offering two adults and two children a pass to get in.

Adults (£7), concessions (£5), and children (£4) can also claim a spot with tickets on sale at the club, Blink Eye Wear and Juke Barbering. There’s no onsite parking at the Green Lane club – with no sparklers and no under 15s unaccompanied by adults.

But the return of the event to Mackinlay Park after a two-year gap is sure to wow visitors alongside a funfair, food and drinks.

Hartlepool Rugby Club

Hartlepool Rugby Club will welcome back its firework display on Friday, 4 November, for the first time in three years. Gates will open off Easington Road at 5.30pm before the fireworks begin above Mayfield Park at 7.30pm.

Thornaby Cricket Club

Mandale Bottoms has seen a lot of activity this year – and Thornaby Cricket Club’s November 5 display is sure to keep the fun coming. Organisers have planned hot food, drinks, music and rides for youngsters.

The display is set to begin on Saturday evening at 7.30pm. There’s limited parking off Acklam Road so visitors have been urged to wander down or use public transport.

Saltburn Cricket Club

Further east, Saltburn CC will keep East Cleveland visitors entertained with a display off Marske Mill Lane on 4 November. The club will open its doors for its own spectacular at 6pm, with the display scheduled to get going at 8pm.

Marton Cricket Club

Nearby Marton CC are also getting in on the act. The Stokesley Road club will open its bar at 5pm with its own display marked down to start at 7.15pm on 4 November. Tickets are £5 for adults and under 16s can grab a ticket for £4.

Middlesbrough Rugby Club

Acklam and Linthorpe residents will also have a chance to spot some colour in the sky on Bonfire Night. Middlesbrough RFC will welcome visitors from 6.30pm on the Saturday with £5 tickets for adults and £3 for children.

A family ticket is also in the offing for two adults and two youngsters for £15. Tickets are on sale behind the bar.

Nunthorpe and Marton Recreational Club

South Middlesbrough won’t miss out on the fun around Bonfire Night. Drinks to keep spectators warm, hot food and a bar will be available when doors open off Guisborough Road at 5.30pm. A family ticket for two adults and two youngsters will cost you £10 with individual tickets set at £3.

They can be bought from the bar. The car park will only be open for disabled parking only with visitors urged to walk or use public transport.
